ok i was just wondering cause if someone brought a glowshift and then used both if it might prolong the gauge that most have problems with

would it be possible to use a needle and snubber valve together? any benfit from this?
You could, but there wouldn't be any point. They both do the same job, the needle valve is just a cheap alternative.

i understand. i and like many others have heard more bad stories than good stories. thats why i was asking. maybe it would protect the sender more than one alone.

My Glowshift FP gauge has been going strong for over 2 years with just the needle valve.

Apparently the piston pump alomg with a sensitive Autometer gauge requires a snubber, rubber hose and a needle valve to keep things smoothed out on that setup.

YMMV.

Im running an autometer FP guage, NO snubber or needle valve, been that way for 160k miles and tons of pulls and dyno runs. Thing works just like it did on day 1

What fuel pump? Apparently a FASS, AD or similar, based on the pulling, dyno, etc I'd guess. Yep, like I said earlier in the thread, electrics don't need them.
