Sounds a lot like the KIPASS system on my bike. Not a bad way to spend $700.

yeah i'm not looking to spend 600 dollars on a fancy setup....just making a hidden push button ignition.

The only reason I can see using unswitched power is to crank the engine to build oil presure before it runs at low idle.

yeah that's the only reason i could think of and i don't see a real huge need for it on a truck like mine...it's not a super comp puller by any means with a bunch of yad yada yady
