I suppose he tapped his own ports on the stock intake?
Sure did. I guess that would be another thing to consider when shopping for an intake. How many ports does one want/need, and what to get if you need more. With the Pushers, it would be drill hole, weld bung situation. With other cast aluminum intakes, just drill and tap.

mhm the good ole intake debate..

to be honest adding one of these on a 2nd Gen that isnt makin SERIOUS power is a waist of money, no matter which you buy... its more or less underhood bling

they do make a difference on a motor not like a chip or injectors but anytime you can free up air flow your gonna make some more power. its not that you just flowing more air either its that the air your flowing doesnt have any agressive turns to make in the intake system. air in an agressive turn generates heat from friction and hotter air is less dense. accordong to ats and afes flow tests the stock horn is like a restrictor plate on a nascar engine it will slow down air flow and generate heat. on a stock engine its not gonna make enough difference to justify it but on something with bigger turbos or twins and injectors and agressive tuning, ya it makes a difference. my truck picked up 5 psi at the manifold and 75-100 degree drop on egts not to count throttle respose picked up with it. also the iat dropped about 50 degrees. ive not seen a third party test on them which would be nice if someone would do it just so the kind of debats could be settled but every manufacter does there own and they all flow better than stock. and my favorite one is banks looking at their test on their intake horn it flows more air than a 12 inch pipe at 200 psi i love reading all their product tests is entertaining. would i recomend one for a bone stock engine, no. but one with mild upgrades ya i would say its worth the money.
