the 3cyl high idle is for warm up only.

Theoretically it would use less fuel to warm up for say 15 minutes over 15 minute warm up with regular idle.

However a few conditions need to be met for it to even USE 3cyl idle. I dont remember them all, i could look it up on AllData probably but from what i remember... 15* outside air temperature, no throttle input, and there is a standard idle time too... like 2 minutes then it ramps up.
