Yeah the hole was already there for the temp sensor... It doesn't matter what setting the edge is on I can only get 18 psi max. I do have a little bit of play in there so maybe I'm losing some boost there. I was told today that they used this type of turbo setup on a few trucks from 2000 2001... This truck has the HO engine and is the "sport" model if that makes any difference..

New here and it's been a few years since I did my bombing. But as I remember on my 2001 I didn't have a wastegate either. What bothers me about you 18psi is where are you reading that from? Have a tube on the intake horn? Have any whistling? I'd be looking for leaks all around that intercooler and fittings if I were you. I have a similar setup and can see 35psi.

How's your air filter? Got a big fat high flowing aftermarket model? If air can't get in, it can't build boost. Just my $.02

 

How could you have a HO and Auto trans like your sig. says, is there a transplant engine or trans. HO's only came in 6 spds. man.. The HO's had HX's and the auto trans trucks had the HY's in the 01's and 02's.
