Default torque loc switch

I just installed the torque lock switch following the tst wiring diagram but i keep getting a check engine light when i flip the switch? I s this normal or is there a way around this problem? When i dont use the switch i can erase the codes and they dont come back unless i use the switch again. Any help would be great!

double check you tapped the correct wire on the pcu. but i would take the jumper out, put the relay back in and run a 33ohm resistor on the ground side after the switch and that should get rid of codes.

I was just wondering what will the 33ohm resistor do and will i leave the relay in after placing the resistor? The wire i tapped was a orange w/blk tracer on the pcm. Thanks for everybodys help!

your throwing a code cause you computer thinks the circute is grounding out. the resistor fakes out the computer into thinking that the computer is locking the converter and doesnt throw codes. You taped the correct wire and yes when you put in the resistor put the relay back in and take out the jumper. This should fix your problems.

ive have a lockup switch for about a year now with no problems or codes.

Ok so i put a 33ohm resistor in from the switch to to my ground source the p0622 and the 1765 code is gone but i still get the p0122 low voltage to the tps sensor? I only get this code when i flip the switch to on.I can then erase the code and it dosnt come back until i flip it to on again? Could this mean my tps is on the fritz.I dont know what they have to do with one another not sure how they work together. When i throw the code it doesnt seem to run any differently?

well im glad the resistor worked for the two codes but i dont know why your getting the low voltage code. the only thing i would say to check is that all your connections are good and make sure you plugged the connector to the pcu all the way in. loose or bad connecion will cause low voltage.
