Default QC SB Air Dog mounting

ok guys i just ordered my Air Dog II 165 (thanks Luke) and Im going to pull my bed for the install but I have read that you cannot mount them on the inside of the frame rail, and after looking at the tight space between the transfer case and the fuel tank i can understand that, but im not sure if i really wanna mount it on the outside or is that my only choice? thanks guys!

I mounted my FASS on the outside of the rail, and the bracket is mounted to the bottom of the bed. I did this to get it up and inside as far as possible.

There are a few pictures. Let me know if you would like more, I'll lay under the truck tomorrow. The filters on my FASS, which are larger than the AirDog's, only hang down past the body by about 1/2" to 3/4"

It is ahead of the filler neck. Pretty much the very front most corner of the box. I'll snap a few more tomorrow.
