Shouldn't have to, or at least I didn't. I've never heard of it having to be done with the research I've done.

 

I think some of the earlier rigs needed a re-flash. Seems like i read that somewhere several years ago.

 

thats what i thought. but wasnt sure. still am not sure. someone told me i would need a reflash... mine hasnt worked for a year since ive hooked mine up... i just gave up... it would kick down into 3rd and stay there until i restarted the truck.... still does if i click the lock button.

 

So I installed the resistor, and reinstalled the relay. Now it doesn't work at all. Before it worked half a$$ed. I could have the switch on, and stop at a light or stop sign and the engine did not load up or pull down. I'm needing some help here fellas. Something isn't right.
