TC Lockup Switch Help
#13
Sorry I didn't get pictures this morning, things at the shop are busier than expected.
If you remove your air filter assembly you can access your PCM. Located in the middle connector, bottom drivers side wire should be the Orange wire with Black tracer. I used a utility knife to bear a 3/4" long section of the wire, and wrapped one end of a 18ga. wire around the section I bared. 18 gauge would be the smallest I would go as that is the size of the wire being tapped. Primary wire will work just fine as this is a low amperage circuit. I soldered the wires to one another, and sealed it up with electrical tape. From there I ran the wire across the top of the engine compartment harness, and into the cab. I used a simple on/off switch, and grounded to the dash frame behind the trim at knee level.
Hope some of that babbeling helps.

Removal of the relay marked Trans or Transmission is required, and a jumper wire installed at the above link shows. No fuses need to be removed. A 2" piece of 14ga primary wire can be used here as well, striped at both ends.

That's pretty much it. If you use the resistor you don't need to remove/jumper the trans relay.

Never mind, I just need to open my eyes. Sometimes I think I log on too early and too late.
Solder into the ground wire a Radio Shack 33 ohm resistor
