the noise is coming when she depresses the clutch pedal. It is not in the transmission.

My Valair 3850, my buddy's 3600 Southbend, and his Dad's Southbend all make racket.

I was always told that it is the floater plate that makes the noise

Really dude? If I remember correct your the same tool you was asking how to make a DPF equipped dodge smoke and started tearing apart the air intake and whatnot. If you really knew what you where talking about you would know by reading the first question that it is in now way related to the level of oil in the trans. Far as the clutch making a little bit of noise that's ok however to hear it over a 24 valve maybe cause for concern. O well what do I know I've only worked on trucks from Mack to Mercedes, volvos to internationals.

go back and read that thread again it was a joke. Also it was stated what would help with the noise, input was put in and you came on saying you couldnt do it, no way ot over fill, it and that it would blow the seals out, and that it would not quiet the rattling at all, i said to go and search, because you could learn alot about it from the things you posted. In the future make sure you know what you are talking about before you post things up, and it will make it easier on everyone. You might wanna do alittle research on me also and find out if I know what I am talking about, and you believed that thread

ok back on topic, when you upgrade to a dual disk clutch there are sacrifices you have to make and the noise and rattling is part of that, like I stated before you can add an extra quart of tranny fluid that will help, but like you stated its when the clutch is disenged, so another thing that will help with that is a fluidampr to help with the vibrations. They make new street clutches now that are way quiet and smooth and have an almost stock pedal fill to them. If the noise really bothers you that much you might want to look into one of the newer street clutches. sorry for taking your post off topic.
