NV4500 Clutch
OK.... My truck is sitting in the garage with the tow strap still on the front of it. The clutch experienced catastophic failure!!!! The previous owner claimed to have installed a SBC double disk and I believe him going off the hydraulics and the trucks street and backing manners! It was supposed to have less than a year on it when I bought the truck last December. I got off the phone with SBC and have come to the conclusion that I'm probably just gonna buy a new clutch KIT. Anybody got any input from experience on any other brands cause as of right now I'm gonna go back to SBC when funding permits. Any input will be appreciated. (FYI... I do not have it apart yet so I'm not sure on the extent of damage or if it may be the trans input)

i would tear it apart and be sure its the clutch first before u throw the money out there i dont know a ton about aftermarket clutches i think im going to go with a valair clutch myself but im not putting as much power to the ground as u are but south bend and valair are the top two as far as i know if it is a clutch u might check with some of the vendors and see who has it cheapest thats how i would handle it

I agree, find out what you need before you start ordering parts. Things may not be as bad or heaven forbid worse than you think.
But as for clutchs both SB and Valair are good.
