Custom Compound Turbo Setup Need Opinions PLEASE!
Last time I got on here I had some questions and recieved alot of help. I'm going to start buying stuff for a new set of twins that I'm going to build and I would like your opinions on turbo options.
With that being said my plan for now is a garrett powermax stage 2 over an S475. I haven't heard much about the garrett turbos and was wondering if anyone had any opinions or had heard anything good or bad about either of the turbos or could suggest better ones for around the same price. I tow sometimes and it is my daily driver I think these trubos should spool nicely and support a little over 700horse. I also need a little room to grow from current fuel for a P pump conversion. Please share your input. Thanks!

I dont think the S300 would be anymore than $100 cheaper though because the garrett dbb powermax is only 1450 for the turbo the rest of the money is for the coolant lines and stuff and I will fab everything myself because the turbo wont be in the stock location. I rode my buddys power joke with a powermax turbo and it felt like a really really nice turbo spool up was incredible and my other buddy has an industrial injection phat shaft and it put it to shame IMO.

Thanks for all your info guys I have heard great things about the S300s and they are the next top contender what about the D-Tech 64/65/12? I dont know a single person with a powermax on their cummins but I would imagine that garrett would pretty well match their turbos per application right? Not the same turbo that will be on a dodge as was on the ford?
