Chemical intercooling is just overcoming some of the inefficiency of the HX35 setup.

I have made close to 600Hp on the dyno with the same setup and a lack of drugs. However, the little HX35 is really a wedge in daily performance.

IMO a much better setup would even be with the little BD top turbo or one of the generic variants just for the exhaust side of the secondary. More power with less fuel, same spool time and a lower A/R ratio from the secondary.

So, lower total boost, cooler EGTs and the same spool. Way better daily driver IMO.

im in ca. is that setup smog legal im lookin for 500 or so reliable hp ne tips even 450 would do ok just has to be reliable no mater what i drive outa state fior work and im on the road alot

Is anyone running twin's with hx35/hx40? Any performance with them two. Cause i have a hx40 layin in my garge.

Those two would be paired way too close to gain anything. All it would do would be slow down the spool up of your hx35. You would do yourself much better to throw the hx40 wheel and housing on your hx35.

I have an HE431 and a 23cm(or 26 gah! I can't remember which now) HT3B that I hope to use in a twin set in the near future. I think that setup would rock pretty hard. Or else use a 351 that I have lying around.

I would definitely opt for an he351 over the 341. The 351 has a bigger compressor side, but still has the very fast spooling 9cm exhaust housing. However, a housing that tight comes with a price. A lot of restriction on the mid to upper end of the spectrum. I would definitely be looking at running an external gate either instead of or in conjunction with your stock gate.

431 not 341. AS in HE431Ve and HE351VE. The 431 is a variable vane turbo found on ISLs. It has a bigger turbine wheel than the 351 but the same size compressor. It can also have a slightly smaller compressor wheel too.

Gotcha, my bad for the miss read. I don't know the specs on them so I can't really comment on how it would work in a twins set up.

No biggie. I figure with the variable vane the housing should open up enough that I don't need an external wastegate.
