Default TST Comp with Edge Comp stack

So I just got my TST Comp today, and I stacked it with my Edge Comp, just to see what happens. I've tried it with the Edge on and off. here's my results so far with everything, only one days worth of testing though
Since it was daylight when I drove it home and I hadn't looked at the tst instructions, I hadn't noticed if my lights were on or off. This morning after reading the instructions online I went out to the truck and test drove it and realized the lights on the remote were off. I went back and checked the fuse and found that had gotten disconnected...not sure when, but I reconnected it and holy crap the difference! The tst comp is insane as far as fueling goes! It's ok at the bottom, but it goes from about 10 lbs to about 40 lbs almost immediately! With the edge on, the low end seems to pick up a bit, not sure if that's because of the timing or the low boost fueling the edge does, but if it wasn't wet outside, I'd have given it some more! Decided to see what would happen if I tried to lug it in 4th gear, with the tst on 8, and the edge on, and despite lugging it, the turbo still started spooking within about 10 seconds... This looks to be the start of a wonderful relationship. I still need to figure out what settings on my edge comp are actually working, now that it's acting as an edge ez, so if anyone knows you're input would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone else's input that has ran this stack would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I ran that combo for a while too. I don't think it's going to matter what setting the edge comp is on, you are using it just for timing right? so I would say only the first 2 levels on the edge will do anything. You could turn it all the way up but there won't be any increase You only have the tst comp tapped for fuel right? Not both!

I'm running that same setup, only my edge is currently stuck on 5X5. Some time ago I put a switch in my dash to cut off the wire tap on the edge in order to try for better fuel economy, so now I have the option of edge with no tap, with tap, or no tap and TST, or TST by itself. Did you get the Comp version of the TST? I know mine is pretty wicked, and I am going to put my B1 on today to help with the 1500* these electronics create...

yup, I got the TST Comp, and only the TST is wiretapped. between TST Comp, Edge Comp, 150 sticks and a 64/71/14, it gets quick and toasty fast!

So, today, playing around with the TST/Edge stack, I ended up blowing up 5th gear...I'm going to have to figure out when I'll have time to take it apart and either fix it, or get it fixed, but I got into it, and then as soon as the turbo lit, BANG! and 5th gear wasn't doing anything. I can shift into all the other gears, and they work, but when I shift into 5th, it's like sitting in neutral...any ideas?

As far as rebuild goes, is there any upgrades out there that would help with the tranny? Just had it rebuilt last summer, and whatever the factory stuff in there that was fiber, was replaced with brass....sorry, not a great explanation, but I'm not real familiar with trannys...

I might...problem is, I don't know what happened...could it be the main shaft, or would it just be the output shaft? If that's the case, how much you wanting for it?

A friend at the trans shop got it for me I gave him $225 for the shaft and 50$ for the nut and washer. You would probably also need the fifth gear assy which is about 80$ dollars i think. I keep a spare around anymore after my first stock shaft splines rounded off from the fifth gear retaining nut backing off and the gear spinning on the shaft. I will be traveling back to GA on Thursday let me know whats up with your trans I will try and help you out any way I can.

Well update! NKP diesel performance in Rockville in is fixing the tranny for me. They said that the only thing that happened was that 5th gear trashed itself, but the nut stayed in place thanks to the upgraded mainshaft I was running. Should have it back tomorrow!
