cut a hole in your hood depending on what size pipe you wanna run.
just go from the downpipe straight up
i put one on my buddies 75 ford with a 12v in it, its fairly simple

not sure about the laws in your state but ive talked to local cops and state troopers and i got 3 friends that are inspectors and they say that here in texas the exhaust has to exit after the passenger compartment(cab) because of a risk breathing the exhaust and passing out so its not legal here.... and flipping the exhaust manifold wont cause any issues and the bolts will line up but you may have to get a longer oil return line for the turbo

If the police are intent on pulling you over - the hoodstack is going to give them more than enough reason. I cant imagine youd get away with in Oregon with the amount if tree huggers that are there.

I bet if you lived in a smaller town you will be fine, but if you go somewhere like Portland or Eugene they will complain. I had 5 in coming out before my back wheel and i got warned for that..

i know here in PA hood stacks are a no no...says it right in the book that the cops go buy. a very good friend of mine is a cop and i was reading thru his book looking for the same answer. exhaust must exit behind the cab of the truck. so i asked him if i do a hood stack is that all they can write me a ticket for. he said no they will probally throw in another ticket for obstruction of view...now i am right in the middle of 2 large cities. but as said before if its not too populated you will get away with it. there is a guy on here from PA running a hood stack and has no problems yet that i know of. but he is from a small town....
