Where to mount an Airdog 150?
#11
i have heard that mounting the pump closer to the fuel tank or as far back as possible has its benefits, it seems that its easier on the pump to push the fuel forward rather then mounting it closer to the engine and having to draw the fuel to the pump a further distance not sure the vitality of it but seems logical.

mounting it on the inside, makes it hard to pull the trans imo. mine is there, i have built a bracket so it hugged the frame rail closer, and still would rather take the time to pull the transfercase then fight with the AD being in the way. but thats just how i feel about it. as soon as my buddys comes in, ill have a DIY written also. good luck

Thanks for the advice!
BigRedn good idea goin high up back there... Since its gonna end up on the outside of the rail I'm pretty unrestricted as to where to go, forward or backwards. I know my other pump (knockoff holley black) needs gravity feed help because it doesn't suck well... Is the AD pump ok with drawing fuel "uphill" from the tank???
Thanks again guys!
