Default 24v 150 horse injectors

I have a stock 1998.5 dodge 3500 5sp I'm about to put a raptor replacement lift pump in and I'd like to see what you guys can tel me about running 150 horse injectors with a stock turbo until I can afford it, a buddy is gonna sell me his 150 horse sticks and I'm either gonna drop them in and I'm gonna baby it and keep egts down until I can afford a bigger turbo or hold onto them until I can afford a bigger turbo then drop them in depending on what you guys suggest. I'd like all the help I can get, thanks.

Welcome to diesel bombers!!
Sounds like great mod plans for this truck. However I would shy away from 150 showerheads till you get a turbo.
About the biggest I would run with a stock turbo is RV 275 hp injectors (thats 275 hp 5.9L).
How well do you know this friend? and are you getting a good set of injectors?
If the price is right and they are good buy them and save them.
Don't forget to have them pop checked its cheap insurance to be sure they are working.

I assume that you already have gauges cause you mentioned EGT.
if not you need at least FP, EGT, Boost.

Are you planning on a programmer or a smarty tuner?

exhaust?

How many miles on this truck?
Putting a whole lot of boost and fuel in a tired engine is like giving Betty White crack somethings gonna give.

I have Boost, EGT, and FP, also full 4" exhaust. It's got 217,000 on it, but it has very minimal blow by (by that I mean me and everyone else that's looked at it can't tell it has any.) and runs awesome. I know the friend well I believe they are brand new ID 150 horse for $500. I had intentions of getting a Edge Juice W/ Attitude. But it appears as if my dream may be short lived due to the $2,700 worth of jaw surgery I had to fix a fracture and wire me shut for 6 weeks (5 guys and 1 set of brass knuckles, not a good night.) This will all be later down the road now, luckily I just got the truck so I'm not bored of it yet. Lol
