Getting Started
Ok going to be installing a quad box soon (the 120 horse one) would it be smart of me to install a j hook and a stealth plate in the process...are these a must or not?? thanks Cameron
The stealth plate is a nice way of not having to pierce the pump wire but it isnt mandatory. I ran my juice with attitude with out the J-hook just fine. Your boost will raise with the box.
While the cover is technically not mandatory, I sure wouldn't do the install without it. Piercing the wire creates a place for corrosion to enter the wires and is a real pain in the posterior to do it the right way. It really needs to be soldered for a completly safe connection. With the plate, you just unscrew the factory plate and replace it, and screw in the tap screw with your wire connected. Simple, clean, foolproof and inexpensive.
