Another dumb question, where is and what is the smoke switch.

 

smoke switch is a switch you tap into your map sensor. i tried it and no smoke, no power, and check engine light so i would say dont try it IMO.

 

well that is a no brainer, thanks for the input. now i know what a smoke switch is.

 

there are some good wrtieups on how to do them...the way you do it though depends totally on what type of chip/box you are running...they will throw a code if you leave it on for awhile but short shots of it usually dont...

 

again, im with cumminscrazy, not much difference and it will fry chips and programmers even if the write up is followed to the letter. dont do it.
