there are no hous8ings designed to work with HID's that we can just bolt it. the ony way to get proper hid housings it to do a retrofit with hid projectors. basicaly you cut out your housings, add the hid projectors (sourced from ebay or wherever), and reinstall. obviously there is more work than that involved but that's the idea.
HID Retrofit Parts Projectors Ballasts D2S Bulbs has tons of info on retrofits.

I've got the inexpensive bi-xenon HID conversions from fleaBay and I love them. I'll argue all day long that I can see better with these than projectors, sport, silverstars, etc... Do they cause others to flash me occasionally? Yes. Are they dangerous? No (I had my wife pass me in the opposite direction several times while I drove her vehicle). Sorry to those who like them, but they also don't make my headlights look cheesy like the fleaBay projector housings. When turned off, they look stock.
Most people saying these HID conversions don't work are in the business of selling halogens or projector housings, period (one of the loudest nay sayers sells his wares on a website and all he sells is halogens and projector housings). Shoot for a lousy $100 bucks buy a set and try 'em. Go with 4300k color (closest to Lexus or BMW color) which has the highest light output, and I'll bet you won't change them out when done.
The only negative is that mine are bi-xenon which means they have solenoid which moves the bulb higher for high beams. When I turn on my fog lights it causes them to go into high-beam mode. My fix was bypass the factory switch and wire in a fog only toggle, works for me.
I'm in the Baltimore area of MD - anyone ever wants to see my lights, let me know. I'm more than happy to show them off. Best light upgrade I've seen for my own visibility. Of course this is like asking what is better Ford or Dodge...and of course the answer there is "depends on who tells you and what they own" so have your grain of salt with my answer.
