Get Blown - cool video's but I have a dumb question - how do you do a boost launch like that on the strip with a stick? I've never been able to do that and I figure there has to be a trick to it? Do tell.

i bet you he starts in third gear, i cant get mine to do that either

 

put it in 4wd, and 3rd gear (6spd) take it up to about 3500rpms, and when the light goes green slowly let the clutch out (with a DD, with a single disc clutch you will be getting a tow truck ride home) and the boost will come up as the clutch engages. my 60' times were bad...like almost 3.0 seconds. the one launch I got it down to 2.1 I ran a 14.2 @ 101

 

What sort of boost are you making if you are blowing drive shafts on a SD clutch? 60+?

 

shoot a single disc clutch will slip like a b*t*h under most boost launches, even on a stock turbo

 

with twins the smalest you would probly want is 150's, but that all depends on the twins you get, and another way is to hold the break and the gas at the same time floored, then slowly let out the clutch till it start to engage and hold it under full engagement and watch the boost climb control the boost with the clutch this with a single and its gone... this makes for one hell of a ride and is how i stripped every tooth off off third gear now to try 4th ehh?
