Bigger Injectors
okay guys, ive decided to go for broke, currently ive got 150 industrial injection injectors in my 99 24 valve. Im making 450 hp at rear wheels. I plan on adding a twin turbo kit this fall, should i stay with the 150s or go bigger yet. keep in mind this truck is a daily driver, not concerned so much with economy just wat to stay clear of high EGTs in town I was think 200 hp or bigger injectors, what do you guys and gals think?

With my stack dialed DOWN - if I'm heavy on the skinny pedal the EGT's go way up and the Smoke doesn't stop! Having seen the price of fuel I'm really not interested in black smoke (unburnt fuel).
Sure this is mostly because of my OEM turbo but that's just me.
Now, if driven softly, the mileage is G-R-E-A-T with a set of big injectors. but you have to keep it under 70 MPH as a rule.

Your EGT's are low while you're cruising. But what are they like at WOT? How long does it take to bury the EGT gauge? Do you have to get off the throttle on a 1/4mile run b/c you're staying over 1300* for too long?
At normal driving speeds, you should never see 1000* EGT. Hammer down with 150 horse injectors, Juice on 5, with a stock huffer... that's a different story; I'll be shocked and amazed to hear that you're not bouncing off 1300-1400* wound out in every gear.
If you're wanting to go for broke, you need to think about peak EGT and sustained EGT. Twins can lower both if they're tuned right. IMHO, it's smart to get the twins last (like what you are doing), cause a good builder can tweak the twins to the rest of the motor.
To answer your original question though... I'd stick with the 1fiddy's. I think 200's would be too much for a daily driver. I've driven a "daily driver" 24v with a tst PM3, twins, mach 6's, etc... it was fun, but I wouldn't EVER want to drive it on anything but dry pavement. It was like trying to ride a hyabusa on ice.
