Default Need Opinion

looking at upgrading my exhaust, i currently have a home made 4 inch straight pipe put on by the trucks previous owner. it utilizes the factory down pipe as well so im looking at upgrading it. heres my thinking

a 4inch dual exhaust kit from MBRP with a muffler delete- i like the idea of smoke shooting out both sides of the truck.

a 5inch single straight pipe kit from MBRP utilizing a muffler delete- i like this because of the 4-5 inch downpipe and reduced wieght as compared to a dual kit

either way, itll remain a straight pipe, i love the sound of a straight pipe, no other exhuast makes that unique sound. but im not sure which one would be best for my future plans for the truck, eventualyl itll be twin turboed and with even larger injectors.

question to ask yerself..........Is this the turbo you are going with or do you wanna upgrade the turbo

reason I ask is most turbos require a different down pipe

if you go twins and use a s400 or ht3b bottom they have a 5in outlet on the exhaust side almost everything but bd's towing twins uses that setup. sooooo you may make your life ezer by going 5 inch.

then that is a k31 over a s400 i belive for the tow twins there race setup is a 66mm s300 over a s480 i think? both use 5 in exhaust outlets on the bottom turbo so id recamend going with the 5 in system to better fit your future plans
