Hey guys, new to diesel bombers, I just got myself a 1999 cummins with 140,000 miles. Its got a 5" straight pipe, Edge drag comp programmer, 175 horse injectors, Airdog 150 lift pump, and supposedly a new vp44. The other day I pulled the 216 code, and I have the syptoms of a bad IP such as the white smoke, buck/sputter, and under powered. I wanna know what the best pump to look into is. I love power and would like a more reliable pump so let me know what you guys think! thanks

or if you have the time and money, you can convert to a P7100 pump.

 

Look at (link removed** must be a vendor on Diesel Bombers to promote your website). They sell a reman VP44 pump with a New computer box on it. Most other shops will reuse the old one. You will get a lot longer life out of it if you get an injection pump with a new comp. box. Good Luck!
