Default Airdog type 2 installation problem

So after a few installation problems due to the difference in the instructions and my in tank canister I have now ran into a problem that I dont quite know what the deal is.

First... Once I bump the key to prime the system and purge the air I begin to dump fuel out on the ground. It is coming from the stock return line that is unconnected from the tank. The directions say nothing of hooking this back up. Just not sure why fuel is still flowing from it.

Second.... I can hear the pump. Not sure if it is considered loud or not (if it is it is a air leak problem) How would the truck run with a air leak? Idle was steady for the minute that I ran it before I shut it down due to the fuel leak.

Thanks

Well I just re-plugged in the stock return line into the stock location on the tank. My assumption is that the return comes from the VP44 and not the lift pump (like on the Airdog)

Idled the truck for a few minutes. Idle was steady at its normal 850 rpm and I was unable to hear the Airdog pump make any noise. I was under the truck at the time with my ear next to it while the truck was running (but we all know how loud theses trucks are)
