no VE pumps are easy to work on, 7100's are a pain in the ***, at what point does anyone think its a GREAT idea to put 5 point hex security screws in the pump from the factory then mount fuel lines over top of them......i drilled the head off one then backed it out with vise-grips, then drilled the head off the other one and beat it out with a screwdriver and hammer......couldnt even touch the star wheel in the truck cause of the 5 point hex bolts.....NO ONE SELLS 5 POINT HEX SECURITY BITS........

i had the same problem with mine just replace them with regular hex head bolts then it is eisyer to make changes

i did, if i would of been in a shop somewhere with air and cut off wheel it would of been done quickly and without pain......BUT, i had this to contend with.....http://www.weather.com/maps/maptype/...m=hp_main_maps

i was soaked, working outside under a car cover......as in fabric car cover.....


yes Ben, no hardware place sells them around here.....
