Boost elbow?
Okay, from what Ive read, a boost elbow allows more boost before the wastage opens. Correct me if I'm wrong, cuz I'm not completely sure myself,
. My question is, about how much do they run, and how to, and if I should, install one..?

yes install one. get a guage and ru it in the low 30's max boost for maximum life of the turbo and your head gasket. they function like this. instead of getting the whole 3/16 boost reference from the intake side they have a much smaller orifice in the elbo making it take longer to build up X psi on the other side of the orifice and delaying the opening of the gate. very noticable power gain going from 15psi to 30 for just $15 and 10 min to install
My boost elbow is a brass elbow that has a hole drilled and tapped on the top part of the elbow with a allen head screw in it which is the adjustment. I would personally just wait and buy one off ebay (mine was around $8).
I have a small brass needle valve available at any hardware store for a couple bucks one side is barbed the other is npt thread and it threaded right on in place of the barbed fitting you can close the valve or open it to your liking. works great and cost about $2.50
Hey guys. I just picked up a '94 12V and would like to do this boost elbow. I cannot find one for under $120-$135. Does anyone recall where they got theirs for $20-$30? Also I see a 3" and a 3.5" on ebay.... and reason to go with the larger or smaller diameter? Thanks!
