You dont need a special gasket with orings, with fire rings you have to have the h g cut.

because there getting fire rings and o rings confused. An o ring is simply a piece of stainless steel wire that is placed in a machined slot under the head, block, or both. It crushes the fire ring on the stock headgasket better than just the flat deck of the head. A fire ring needs to be machined into the head and block this requires the special gasked and fire rings.

okay thanks.. one more thing, hamilton cam suggest that since i am buying a 188/220 cam that i need to up grad to there heavier valve springs, but there like $500, would my 60lb springs work okay?
