Default 24v head on a 12 v motor

I have heard that u can put a 24v head on a 12v motor is that true or false? If so what does it take to do?

Different pistons. The injectors are on the other side.

not worth the work imo.. u can port and polish a 12v head to flow alot of air.

depends on what 24v your talking about. all 5.9 blocks are the same up untill the second gen 24's. as for the injectors being on the wrong side? total BS, the injectors are dead center of the cylanders no matter what cummins your getting into

Dead center but the 12 valve has some angle to them. I think the blocks are the same except for some sensor positions.

Correct. Thus the offset dish in the piston. The 24v piston has no offset.

the 24v head will not work on the 12 you have to change pistones out to 24v pistons we did it on a budys truck last summer with his rebuid ppumped 24v with a 96 block
