I'd like to make a few comments...

Personally, I think the setup you are showing has a few LEGAL and HEALTH problems. First off, if you pull up to a two lane stop light, you are breathing exhaust right into the potentially open window of the car next to you. Second, I'm not positive about the state you are in, but I know that many states REQUIRE that the exhaust be expelled BEHIND THE FURTHERST BACK PASSENGER...and seeing that you aren't driving on the hood, I'd say you're in violation of that. Lastly, assuming worst case scenerio, on a calm day, sitting still with the engine running, windows up and AC on, you could potentially be drawing exhaust fumes in through the vent thus creating a deadly atmosphere inside of your truck....your truck could kill you! Nobody wants that.

However, so as not to completely bash your creation, I would like to say that it's a clever idea and a worthy one for an off-road only vehicle, although I'm more along the lines of the BBD chap suggesting the flush-to-outside "porthole" style exhaust, as I think they are kind of sexy on the turbocharged drag cars and such. BUT, allow me to make a twisted suggestion...

If you were to come out through the fender, just beneath the antenna, and flushed it with the body panel, you could then create a series of "slip on" stacks in several different configurations to suit whatever tickles your fancy. Like, for instance, a single drag pipe that goes diagonally across the passenger door and shoots soot to the ground, OR a similar configuration to what you are displaying currently, OR a single stack that rides along the A-pillar and blows the burnt fuel up over the cab....the possibilities are endless! But, I would like to stress safety in whatever configuration you pursue as we Diesel Bombers get enough flack about being detramental to the environment...we don't need to be breathing our hobby into other people's windows. Just my $0.02...

This has made it to several other forums. I never knew this was on here, but it's being posted across multiple forums. Found it on powerstrokearmy.com You're certainly stirring people up with it if nothing else.

I am not a fan at all, but I hear people say they don't like my stacks either. To each their own I guess...

Would look nice if it was done something like this:

I'm not goin to lie, that looks like a bad pimple on the homecoming queens face! They should've cut it flush with the fender, but to each his own.

To the OP, I like the concept of your idea man, but there are some serious side effects to your setup. IMO, the best thing to do would be turn the tip around 90* do it's pointing back and won't blow smoke into others peoples' faces. Just a thought, that's all.

Now, I have seen a first gen with something similar to what you have but different. This guy made the exit hole just under his antenna, put on a 90* elbow that pointed back towards his cab the capped it off with a 6" tip. Looked pretty kool, not that yours don't

"OR a single stack that rides along the A-pillar and blows the burnt fuel up over the cab...." I like this, it'd look so badass

Either way man, it's your ride, your choice, but yeah, it kicks butt

Mines a snorkle, but theres no reason you couldn't tie it into the other side of the turbo instead.
