Default Boost Elbow Question

ok...so i bought an adjustable boost elbow for the truck. i really didnt no where it goes...so i searched some forums..and i got two different answers. on the compressor side of the turbo(where i have it now) and on the back side of the injection pump. can someone please clear this up for me? it seems to be workin where i have it..most ive seen so far is 25lbs of boost. i know its wastegated at 19lbs.
thanks in advance everyone.

mine is on the pump but it really doesnt matter as long as it is installed in that thine from the turbo to the back of the pump. all it is doing is bleeding off pressure to fool your wastegate. the way you have it should be fine.

The correct spot for it is on the compressor housing of the turbo. There's a line running from an elbow going to the wastegate actuator. Unhook the line, unthread the elbow and replace it with your adjustable one.

Actually the correct spot is either. Some trucks had compressor mounted reference lines and some had afc mounted reference lines. We sometimes will drill and tap the compressor to eliminate the hard line but unless its busted there is no reason really. Again, the trucks can be setup either way so there is no right or wrong answers
