for what its worth, just got done helping a friend out with his truck. 180hp ppump no plate with a 62 mm charger went 12.48 @ 107 !/4 mile 7k truck with driver.

If the plate has nothing to do with fuel mileage, why do people want plates that give some power, but keep fuel mileage. Are plate choices just given for power preferences and to keep reliability??

I think so. As far as I know, the pump should only give as much fuel as your foot is sending it, with the max being determined by the plate. With two different plates, one aggressive and one mild at a set rpm/speed, and under the same load, they would burn the same amount of fuel. Now if you have it floored at are at max boost, the aggressive plate will inject much more fuel than the other, and thats where you see mileage drops/gains.

That does make a lot of sense. But getting back to a #0 plate and running plateless, how different is it? Does running without a plate dump to much fuel in the pump not being beneficiary, and just wasting good fuel? It would seem that have a #0 plate is a big road block for mass fuel to be dumped, But im not to knowledgeable on the flow of fuel through the pump to make a correct statement.
I understand to that the EGTs would be lower with a plate compared to without. Is the #0 more efficient still giving the pump max flow without over fueling it to much?
