Default #0 vs Plate less DIFFERENCES???

Im running with no plate in my fuel pump right now, I ground down my stock plate to a #0. I was planning on putting this in instead of running plate less. Im guessing Id get better fuel economy with the plate. is it noticeable? and whats the power difference in either? Does anyone know the numbers for a #0 or plateless? If a #5 is 270/675, Id like to know what kind of numbers im lookin at.

i did this exact swap. difference was ALOT less smoke (what I wanted) ALOT cooler, and a little less umph up high, but alot more git down low. I was drowning the turbo with fuel.. I have an adjustable wastegate, so I played with the plate and wastegate to get 40 psi at 1100 degree, then messed with the starwheel until it launched right. could stand to be screwed with, but I really think any plate is MUCH more efficient than no plate.

Sounds like all good things to me! Does anyone have numbers for a #0 or plate less?

Running a #0 plate full forward is the exact same thing as running with no plate, in both cases the arm is never contacting anything.

As far as power goes, people with 215 pumps make close to 300 rear wheel hp (figures listed earlier were at the engine) when running very agressive plates/no plate.

theres no tellin man, prolly 250-300...depends on trans, pump, and tuning. like I said, I'd tune it to effecient boost at a certain pyro temp, why sove more fuel than you can use?

Hes got a 160 pump I would say prob closer to 250 at the wheels, that is if the tranny will transfer the power efficiently.

EasternAggie is on the right track if you ask me. There are to many variables to be guessing horsepower with these trucks. Fuel mileage is also all at your right foot. the plate has nothing to do with it.
