Default Rebuild question

anybody have an idea what i would pay to have the motor rebuilt? i would pull it and put it back in.... just need it built by someone who knows what there doing. it runs good but smokes white when i first start it and the rear main just started leaking a little. also the engine seems alot quieter lately... like alot less diesel like. seems like she may need a set of rings. just seeing what i could expect to pay for someone to just build it.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

i did search by the way but 5500 seems high to just build it.... with me yankin it and re installing it.

If you pull it yourself, why not do the rebuild yourself? Hardest part is the head and machine work, but you can pull it and take that to get done.

Otherwise, I'd say a couple grand for a stock parts rebuild.
