I've read about that alum head expensive to say the least. The head needs to be a on a bench and go slow dont go crazy just clean and smooth. best advise I could give you.Good luck keep us posted.

i would try to port my owne head but idk wat the best thing to do is or where to start ha ha matter of fact idk how to even do it

I think I'm going to port mine. It's all torn down to the block and I'm going with .020 pistons. It don't look to hard just time consuming.

how much is it gonna cost u to bore it and get pistons? i was thinkin .40 over and marine pistons wondering if it would give me much horsepower

Idk how much yet I haven't price checked. It should have more power but going to big u run the risk of running hot.

i just put .20 overs in mine and it cost me $200 at the machine shop to get the head decked and block bored out, pistons cost me 500 with rings and everything and they are mahle pistons

i wasnt going to do much to the head itself but im taking alot out of the exhaust manifold so im not asking about bits for the head as much as for the manifold part which has alot more to grind off

any more power after the bore?

i havent got the motor back together yet, i wasnt planning on boring it out but my rings were fried, im hoping for alot better power after its back together but idk if i will be able to tell a power dif from the pistons alone since im putting a triple disk, 4ks, more timing, porting the exhaust, and i think my head gasket was leaking, i will do a write up on the whole thing whens its done in a month or two
