Taking the plate out isnt going to hurt anything, but if you tow or anything like that it is a big help with egts. even if that line is the problem with the plate clear back the fuel rod isnt even going to touch the afc arm which is what that line controls.

 

well all it turned out to be was that the plate was to far back. the holes slotted out so you can move the plate forward or backward were alot bigger than on my old one. that was a big relief
