No just a 302. I had a buddy with the same EXACT car as mine, but it was a 347 that was all edelbrock chromed out, and I used to hang with him.

He was NOT a happy person.

While it certainly sounds fast, the hp/tq just aren't adding up to me. Usually torque output on diesels is right around double the HP. Usually. Give or take a few lbs, of course. I've never seen a diesel only produce 300lbs more torque when so high up in the ranks of hp/tq.

that's just what he said it dyno'd at when he did it because his boss who owns a high performance diesel shop bought it got the guy to put 20k dollars worth of aftermarket stuff on it and then sold it the the guy for 18k all because he didn't like the auto so now he is working on a 6 speed that is going to put this truck to shame........

ok i feel like a total dumb a$$ i just realized i got the two trucks backwards his 04 CR with 20k worth of stuff is pushing in the 800's with 1300 ft lbs THE NEW truck is going to be pushing no LESS than 1000 hp

my bad guys

I'm not surprised at the $$. to make a RELIABLE 800hp CR is not cheap. the trans alone is often $6k, $2k injectors, $1k boxes, $3k in fuel system, $5k in turbo(s), ect.
