Default 12v into 24v

Hey what are all the things that I need to watch for I'm putting the motor out of a 96 into an 01 and was just wondering what electrically I need to do and all that please help.

if its standard you wont need much. auto might be a hastle

It's standard the guy i'm doing it for said something bout the cam gear?

if your puting the entire moter in a 01 you dont have to do anything if it is a manual tranny

i would think it would pretty damn easy! crank trigger/tach speedometer

We put a 96 engine in a 99 auto easy to swap pain to get everything working. Ended up with a manual valve body and a tach on the dash. Come to think of it the only gauges that work in that are the speedo and the fuel.

I looked into it once and for it to work right you need the wiring harness for a 98 12valve. All the sensors feed into the ecm and it sends the info to the gauge cluster.This was a couple years ago so I don't know if somebody has found a better way of doing it. With the reliability of the vp-44 and 53 block I'm surprised this isn't a more common swap.
