The stock auto will hold ok with a #6 plate, boost elbow and 3GSK, as long as you don't drive it too crazy. You only need to turn the pressure up 10-15psi.
I did that to mine at 75,000 and it's still isn't fried at 215,000, and that's even with towing up to 14,000lbs. The main thing is controlling the TC lock-up timing with a switch. If you don't let it lock up too soon, you can make things last a long time.
Even with my latest rounds of mods (400-450hp), the trans is still working, just can't get much of the new power to the ground. But that's going to change here in a couple of weeks when the Billet Goerends gets here
