oglejust, how are those 5x14's with a stock charger? next for me is prolly injectors and i want 5x14's so i can upgrade to a 64 charger sometime but for now i dont have the cash for a turbo and im scared to run that big of a injector with a stock turbo. how are the egt's and smoke? does it clean up any or real smokey? i tow some 4 wheelers in an enclosed trailer about 5 times a year. u think i would be ok? sorry for all the questions ha ha. thanks
i towed 3 tons the other day and never got above 1k degrees.. i was only goin 50 and i didnt get in a hurry to get up to speed so that probably had something to do with the low temps but they clean up good. it smokes a lot at low boost but they clean up pretty good. i havent raced or anything but if i stayed on it thru the gears it would get hot. i recommend them.. theyre the perfect size imo. hope that helps man
i have the same injectors as ogle. if u can keep ur foot out of the throttle they wont get to bad. but i cant do that. ive seen 2100 on the dyno with them. and 1900 on the street when i backed out. im running my stock fuel plate FF and afc FF with the 5x.014s and with a 1 ton on a goose neck, highest i hit on the floor goin up a pretty good sized hill was 1350. DD no matter how hard im on the throttle, 1200-1250 is the highest it will get. it still has passing power, but with out the high egts. it feels around low 300's with the stock plate in it. with no plate, i laid down 433 and 1156 with them.
