I have ran one of thoes and I really liked it a lot. spooled very quick and had tons of low end grunt, but I ended up getting rid of it because on the top end ( round 2800) it would choke. I pulled many trailers with that charger and loved it, def a good choice.

If you can live with a little more lag the 71 wheel will offer your more room to grow. I have never ran propane so I do not know how the truck will react.

If you do wanna get a new charger the 62/68 would work great for you

yes the housing effects how well the turbo will spool up and how well it will do in the upper rpm range. There are many choices out there, the most common on the s300 based chargers are 12 cm, 13ss, 14 cm, and 16ss.

For what you want I would go either the 14cm or the 13ss if you have the money for the 13ss.
