Default twin turbo install

hey guys, im looking to get started here real soon on my twin turbo on my chevy cummins. right now i just have a VE pump, but as soon as im done with the twins, im going to do a p pump swap. i know the p pumps move a bunch more fuel than the rotarys do so dont really know what size injectors and turbos to go with thatll suit a p pump well. my goal is to be around 500hp+. would some 5x.014 injectors be a good setup for that power level? or are some 6x.016's needed. and would an hx35/ht3b setup work with that?

im pretty much just wanting to know, with a p pump and twins, which turbos and which injectors will get me where i want to be?

any ideas?

That turbo set up will work just fine. My friend Nck just did 601hp with that same turbo set up on his 01.

He was running a set of 200s. He now has 240s in his truck and that turbo set up is still working out for him.

5x14's would be a very good sized injector to go with, with those injectors and turbos, and a properly tuned p-pump, that setup will take you well past your goal if you wanted it to.

cool thats exactly what i wanted to know. i have the SDX injectors now for my VE and i love them, so id like to stick with sdx injectors if possible. and they do make 5x.014s so thatll be good.

anyone know approximately what kind of mileage im looking at with that much power? will it be about as equivalent with my setup now, or will i increase my mileage because of the efficiency of the twins and not wastin fuel through smoke?

and also, should i look for an hx35, or an hy35?

roll with a hx40, if your pushing that much fuel for 500hp and that you need twins the stock exhaust housing will increase drive pressure to much and you will blow your hg, and have high egts. go with a hx40, with either a 14cm, or 16cm housing. and then go tighter on the 3b housing

SDX has the 5x014's - that's what's goin in my truck, along with the hx35 / ht3b twin setup - my friend has that same setup and put 600+ to the wheels on a blown head gasket..

i think i decided to do the hx40/ht3b. im thinkin the 16cm hx40 and the 21 or 26 cm ht3b (havent decided which housing size yet). that way im not having to sell my turbo and buy another one.

what are the advantages and disadvantages to running a 40 instead of a 35?
