Default 3 bolts on AFC

I have herd of people just breaking off the tamper proof bolt and running with three bolts just wondering if this is safe

im running that and have had no problems for 2 months now .. but thats just my experiance ... planing on getting 4 bolts and replacing them all to be the same to make it easier ... just make sure they are tight

i've always ran 3 bolts i don't think it hurts anything at all.

We haved worked on a lot of trucks with only 3 bolts, and have apeared to have no problems, we like to put 4 bolts in, but thats just us, i dont see a problem with running 3 bolts if you have too, just make sure they are pretty snug like stated above.

Whats the easiest way to break off the bolt?

i always use a small punch and just tap the edges til the sucker breaks loose and twist it out with ur fingers. or if you can get to it get a very sharp chisel and hit it rite in the center and then use a flat head screwdriver to spin it out

Ya I'm thinking about chiselling a line into it the back it out, but if there isn't an issue w/ running no screw in there I might just hack the head off. Or by tapping the edges will the entire screw be able to back out of the hole?

i hit it with a chisel and it broke completely off. if you were going to do that i'd just replace it.

I may just do that.. screw messing around with trying to indent it then backing it out

I have 2 holding the shutoff and 1 on the rear slot. It makes plate changes and afc adjusting very easy
