Default 4 inch turbo back install, with odd KDP findings

I have just recently put on a new 4 inch exhaust from the turbo back, after replacing my stock pipe that had a muffler/ cat delete pipe. I noticed that my egts are about 100 degrees higher with this pipe, also that my egts can hit 900 relatively fast. For example as I pull in second gear up to about 1,800 RPM its at 900, before it would barely hit 750. The turbo does spool faster so to speak of, compared to the old pipe. I was just wondering if this was normal or should I be concerned?

Also my father just got a 12 Valve for a steal,so I have been in the process of fixing it. It had issues with the rear abs pulsating during breaking which was caused by the front two calibers being seized, I also had to replace the front U joint off of the passengers side that was a PITA. Now today I finished the KDP and replaced the AC compressor and recharged the system.

The bolt that you use to tab the KDP was missing, I replaced it to tab the KDP. But stuck a borescope camera through the oil drain plug to see if it was in the pan and it wasn't, any ideas of where this bolt could have went, or was it never put on?

Thanks Paul

Is your EGT probe installed in the 4" pipe after the turbo at the same distance as the old pipe.

I should have been clear and told you where the probe was its in the manifold itself right where cylinders 4,5,6 collect

What kind of temps do you get after 1800 say between 2000 and 2300 is the temp going down at that point?
It sounds like you haul loads, is it during a heavy pull? or a hill?

Between 2000 2300 depending if you are talking about an empty load it will stay 900 if i'm racing it up under full boost it will be around 1000-1050

Any other mods on the truck? Temps in my opinion should have went down with the new exhaust. Maybe just need to check the temp probe. 900 isn't to high especially in the manifold. But still not sure why temps went up 200 degrees when you changed the exhaust pipe.

I have a #8 fuel plate, and 4 GSK but I never go over 3K. Its nice to have. 60lb valve springs. I took it out on the highway and at 60 with the old exhaust I was running 1,900 Rpms, boosting 5, and 600 degrees. I have 3.5 rear with 33's. Now I at 60 run 1,900, boosting 3, and 750 degrees. Is this a case of not enough fuel, so I'm making just hot air?

Sounds like your running out of air and now having a need for more air ... your turbo is working easier and therefore your able to spool it .. but if you have a factory air box .. that's gonna be a problem ..

You should be fine with those EGT's .. I wont push mine past 1300* ( or 1200* towing continually, short burst's past 1300* wont kill anything, but keep it short).

I don't have the factory air box, I'm running an afe intake with a proguard 7 air filter, so should in return turn up my boost pressure or leave it be
