what hammer said, a lil more timing and seriously lemme ask you a question, does your hand melt when you stick it in the oven to pull out something? i means its like 400 degrees in there omgsh ur hand will evaporate immediately

a short spike in egts dont hurt as bad as you think.

Why would he want to go with larger chargers and make the truck a lag pig on the street?

The HX40/HT3B combo is a proven setup that can and has handled way more power North of 700hp so chargers are not his problem.

Still say timing will help you out some.
Tuning the AFC on the low end spool up will also make things a bit cooler.Slide the plate back and forth and the housing until you find that one happy spot you can live with.Starwheel is also something you have to fiddle with for your driving taste.I run mine a tad tight to take away low end fueling so the charger gets going faster and the motor is not having the fire put out before the oven gets lit.

he asked for different ways to lower egt's with out de tuning.... bigger chargers is one of those ways...not the best way.. but a way.

personally i thing a smaller dv would cure alot of the issue. and like hammer said timing would help alot also.

I agree with hammer. From what I've seen, full cuts aren't gaining anything over some sized DVs except heat. Plus you definitely have the head setup there to run a lot more timing, which will cool it down. You can damn near run 17.5 on a stock gasket and overtorqued bolts.

my friend ran 24* with stock gasket and bolts for a while, he also had a 74mm turbo and huge sticks. no problems with it. not saying you should go try and do that though
