Ok! I found out a little on replacing the injectors on the cummins 12v with JD injectors and also the pump with JD pump. I was told that these parts are from a larger JD engine and that you would possibly have to do some mods to make it work. My question is, "how and why"? What's the advantage and cost of this change? What's up!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

 

I would say that first you would need to know the spray angle and tip protrusion on the FD injectors before even considering put them in. Next, I think the cost would way out wieght the benefit in any application other than full race. There are plenty of ways to get 4 digit power numbers out of a 12V with Cummins parts.

 

I believe they flow more fuel but also have the Ag style governor which is alot different than standard truck ones.
Some Truck pull classes do not allow Ag style governors.
I do know that.

It isn't uncommon to use a DT466 injector in a 12v, they are not a drop-in installation.
