Gate it at 40 if you want to keep ou gasket alive for any amount of time. Remember it's going to make ALOT more volume. Just a heads up.

I have heard that you can retorque the stock head bolts a bit and it does help a little. Anyone tried this? Is it worth the effort?
I do wanna play but I dont wanna drop $600 in a set of studs and gaskets just yet.

For $1K I'll sell you a brand new cummins head (valves and springs), a set of slightly used ARP studs that i got from RDP and a set of rocker stands. All you need is the gasket and the head cut for O-rings and you are rocking. I'm glad you got the stuff from Ben. He and Karl are good people and that truck kicks ***.....He was on SR 30 a couple years ago and I met up with him when i was in my Duster....My Duster runs mid 11's on a little sprayand he gave me everything I could handle N/A. I think he was running bottom 12's then.

I torqued my arp's past what they say, and yes it has helped, I burned a head gasket the first time, they are tighter now. Stock bolts? I have no idea. Bolt the turbo on and go, if you blow the gasket its a good excuse to upgrade. It will work fine for awhile, besides w/ 250k on it you can't be real upset about a gasket.

You can but you should mark the bolts and if one is twisted more than the others at the same torque setting then it's stretched and should be replaced. I know guys that have done it but I am not a fan of it. Studs clamp much better and are better IMO.
