Ok, you got my attention on this. Im not very well rehersed on turbos, but is there a specific reason you want to go to a 6 blade, from 7 blades. Is there any benefit to this?
Inquiry mind wants to know........

The stock wheel is 7 blade and after doing my research there is a lot of debate on wether the 6 or 7 blade flows more air. I don't mind spending the money to try it. I don't feel like dropping a few thousand on a new turbo, so I figure this would be a quick way to satisfy my urge. And from what I hear the 6 blade is louder too. I haven't seen anyone do it so I figure I'd give it a shot

the amount of blades does not quite control overall air flow. the A/R on the turbo, inducer to exducer sizes will control the air flow

A few ways to look at it without a map. Less blades, less blade displacement in the housing allowing for bigger "cuts" of air. On the other hand, more blades, more "cuts". I have heard a 6 blade will out perform a 7, but never heard what the situation was. Shaft Speed? Elevation? Who knows.

Going to a HX35/40 is nice. Takes you from a 54mm to 60mm. I liked what it did to my old truck!
