Default #11 plate questions

Alright i tried the 100 plate even slid back a bit and it still will slip my clutch at full throttle with a heavy load behind it. well i seen this #11 plate and want to know a little more about it.

1. will it get better or at least the same mpg as my stock plate did?

2. SHould the #11 plate be enough to slip my stock clutch? or a good stock clutch?

3. is it a "smooth driving plate?

The 11 is a very smooth plate much as the highly touted 10 is,however, rated at 290hp/680tq the 11 would probably also slip your factory clutch unit. When a "stock or factory" clutch is used in a truck I personally do not like putting in any plate larger than a 12 plate which is 230hp/605tq.

See its not the Hp thats hurting the clutch as much as the increased torque load.Way back along time ago when I first bought my truck I installed a 10 and tweaked the pump. That combination really flew for a short while, right up to where I twisted off the input shaft and junked the clutch.

The 12 should keep your fuel milage in check and still give you enough low end grunt to do what you want without hurting the clutch. However,I feel if you have already slipped it then you will find its lifespan shortened and you may need to prepare yourself for that being the next upgrade.......Andy

A #11 is my favorite plate on a 215 You can run it in the stock position or FF it shouldnt slip your clutch if your smart about it. I pulled a 16' trailer every day with that plate at FF and it took 20K for the clutch to start going.
