Rack Plug

yep it goes on the front of the pump in between the pump and the timing case. to install it u either need to slide the pump back or grind the timing case, i ground the timing case... dont be scared to grind... theres a lot more material that u think, i gained 3 lbs of boost at top end... thats about all i noticed.

If your going to break the pump shaft loose and slide the pump out for install of the rack plug then I would HIGHLY recommend you time the motor again.Better to do it no while your there with the truck apart than have to go back and redo it.
Also...
If you do this rack plug install this way,by sliding the pump out, then you should get a new pump washer to ensure that the timing will not slip once you have timed the motor again.By reusing the same washer you are asking for nothing but problems......Andy
